The 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (13 ICG) will bring together more than 1,000 leading civil engineers, researchers, regulators, material manufacturers, and sustainability and climate change experts for days of technical exchange, best practice sharing, and commercial development around geosynthetic materials in Sustainability, Transportation Infrastructure, Climate Change Response, Mining, Energy, Environmental Protection, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I am an author/presenter. Do I have a registration deadline?
All invited technical contributions must have at least one full registrant by May 13, 2026 to be included in the program (including the peer-reviewed proceedings, for accepted contributions). This is true for all presentations related to papers, extended abstracts, and posters.
I am an exhibitor. Do I have a registration deadline?
All exhibitors must have at least one team member registered as representative staff by May 13, 2026. Please use the exhibitor portal for your unique team member additions.
I will need a visa to attend. Will invitation letters be available?
YES. Invitation letters will be available by the open of registration on October 15, 2025. The conference may not issue these invitations until the Government of Canada issues the official event code, as the code must be cited in visa applications and included in the letter. Please see the Visa Information Page.
What does my 13 ICG full conference registration include?
Full conference registrations (all days) include access to all plenaries, all open sessions, lunch in the exhibit hall, and official conference receptions.
Single-day full conference registrations will have access to all official plenaries, open sessions, exhibit hall lunch and official receptions on the day of the registration.
What does my 13 ICG Exhibit Hall Only registration include?
Access to the trade show during all open hours, lunch, and any exhibit hall official reception on the day of a single-day pass or all days for Exhibit Hall Only – All Days registrations.
Why do non-IGS member attendees of the full conference pay more than IGS members?
The International Geosynthetics Society’s (IGS) event guidelines stipulate that active members receive at least a 20% discount on these registrations. This is true for IGS Corporate Members as exhibitors too (vs the general market rate).
I joined the IGS after registering for the conference. Can I get the difference refunded to me?
The conference cannot provide refunds for later membership decisions. Please see the cancellation policy below.
Will the conference be streamed online for live, digital access or recorded for delayed online presentations?
13 ICG is designed as an in-person conference and trade show. The organizers do not currently plan a hybrid or remote access format, but it reserves the right to add a modified online access version, whether live or on-demand. If additional access options are added, the conference will not be able to provide refunds for any later developed registration tiers that may be less than a previously purchased registration for the in-person conference. In the event of a global situation that requires the in-person conference to be cancelled, a remote access option will be made available to ensure the conference takes place.

Yes. Exhibitors & sponsors may purchase full conference registrations (all days) for USD $600.00 and Exhibit Hall Only (all days) for USD $300.00.
